Efosa Etomi (Mrs.)

President (AWLA NIG)

Efosa Etomi is the current President of the African Women Lawyers Association(AWLA). She is a seasoned civil litigator with over 30years post call experience. Her areas of interest and expertise include Family Law, Arbitration, Divorce and Domestic Abuse/ Child Abuse issues amongst many others.

She is a partner at Chief Rotimi Williams’ Chambers, a fellow and a member of the Board of Governors, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), a member of the National Judicial Council(NJC) and has been a contributor to the Thomas Reuters Practical law guide where she co-authored the section on Family Law in Nigeria.

She is a member of Terralex, NBA,IBA as well as a member of the NBA section on Business Law

Bibian Aloba (Mrs.)

General Secretary (AWLA NIG)

Aloba, Bibian Kanayo was called to the Bar in 2004 . She has been a member of AWLA since 2015 Lagos chapter and is Presently the General Secretary, AWLA Nigeria.
She holds a LL.B and BL and is a student of ICSAN, she is also a Word Bank Assessor on The Ease of Doing Business.
A principal partner in the law firm of Saphire Chambers with it’s office strategically located in Lagos, Nigeria

Yvonne Ugochi Adonai-Achalu (Mrs.)

Assistant General Secretary (AWLA NIG)

Yvonne Ugochi Adonai-Achalu called to the bar in November 2013. She is currently working with National Broadcasting Commission Abuja . She joined Awla in 2015, having served as the financial secretary of the branch and is currently the Assistant secretary National .
She is a member of the NBA ,unity branch(Abuja).

Falilat Orire (Mrs.)

Falilat Oluwatoyin Orire was called to the Bar in OCTOBER, 2000 . She currently works with The Court of Appeal Ilorin division as the head of Litigation. She has been a member of AWLA since 2012 in Abuja and is
Presently in the AWLA Kwara State Coordinator and National Treasurer Of AWLA Nigeria.
She holds a BL and has an LLM in Sharia and Civil Law.

Abiodun Kolawole (Mrs.)

Abiodun Kolawole Esq. is a seasoned media/legal practitioner with B.L, LL.B and LL.M qualifications. She is an associate at Crown Canaan Attorney Chambers and has served in different capacities in AWLA, Nigeria. She is presently the Welfare Officer 1.

Felicitas Nwobi

Financial secretary (AWLA NIG)

Felicitas Nwaobi was called to the Bar in 2011. She has a Diploma in Law and worked with the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies before proceeding to obtain her LLB IN 2002. She is an astute member of NBA Ikeja and was the electoral chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum first ever election. She joined AWLA IN 2013 and has twice been the chairman of the commitee that organised our new year party.

Olanrewaju Lanre Oluremi

Welfare 2 (AWLA NIG)

Remi had her first professional qualification in Nursing before obtaining her LLB and BL Qualifications. She qualified as a Nigerian Registered Midwife in 1980, attended the University of Greenwich, London from 2004-2006 where she obtained a Diploma in Health and Social Care in 2006. She further obtained an LL.B in 2013 from the University of East London and was called to the Nigerian Bar in July 2016. She got her legal work experience with Fred Isoh and Associate, Lagos from 2016-September 2020. Also worked briefly with Oyefeso & Co. Abeokuta and is presently President (Legal) of an Grade one Customary Court in Ogun State.
