As part of the activities lined up for the 16 Days celebration, AWLA Nigeria, Rivers State Branch was well represented by the National Public Relations Officer Dr. Grace Chigala Ajaegbo and AWLA Rivers State Branch Public Relations Officer Dr. Endurance E-Chinda at the grand jury, a radio program hosted by 91.7 Wave FM wherein they dissected life issues which bordered on widowhood practices and property inheritance by a female child on Friday 6th December 2024.

The robust discussion afforded the listeners an opportunity to acquire some knowledge centered on the topic of discourse.

In the same vein, on Saturday 7th December 2024, AWLA Nigeria, Rivers State Branch Coordinator Gloria Añuri Ohia Amb P. MCIArb (UK) FICMC represented AWLA Rivers at 92.7 ,Super FM ,wherein she talked about the theme for 2024 being Towards Beijing + 30 Unite To End Gender Based Violence on Women and Girls.

AWLA Rivers through her sensitization campaign on ending gender based violence encourages both males and females to speak out when any form of dehumanizing treatment is about to be or is already melted out on any woman or girl child.
This is in tandem with the Association’s mandate which is to protect and preserve the woman/children.
